Privacy Policy
Effective August 12, 2026
Old Photo Scanner collects nothing from you. There are no accounts, no analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, and no tracking pixels. Scanning runs on your iPhone. Your photos are not sent to us.
What stays on your device
Camera frames used for detection, full-resolution stills, crop data, and session files live only on your device until you choose to import them into Apple Photos or delete the session. We never receive those images.
Permissions we ask for
- Camera. Required to detect and capture printed photos. Frames are processed on device.
- Photo Library (add only). Used only when you import scans into Photos. The app requests write-only access so it can add images. It cannot see, open, or delete photos already in your library.
Purchases
Optional lifetime unlocks are handled by Apple through StoreKit. Purchase status is verified with Apple on your device. We do not run our own payment server and we do not receive your payment card details.
What touches the network
By default the app does not need a network connection to scan, review, or store sessions. Network use is limited to Apple services you already interact with when you:
- Download or update the app from the App Store
- Complete or restore an in-app purchase via StoreKit
Those requests go to Apple, not to an Old Photo Scanner backend. There is no Old Photo Scanner account server that stores your scans.
No analytics or tracking
Old Photo Scanner contains no third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or usage telemetry. We do not build a profile of you because we do not receive data about you.
Children's privacy
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because there is no account and no data collection by us, there is nothing for us to gather regardless of a user's age.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
